The Holiday of Christmas

The birth of Christ, Santa Claus, Decorations, snow. Christmas is another time of giving. It's a time of remembering Christ's birth, the 3 kings, shepherds, songs and feasts. It's not really about presents or stupid Santa Claus. My dad says that inventing Santa Claus is a good way for kids but i don't agree. Dad has wierd points of view sometimes. This year we did the Nativity program with the family: Mom, Dad, Courts, Sam, Kenny, Ameeta, Krish, Nate, me, and Leah. It was fun too. Christmas shouldn't be stressful, last minute or rushed. My mom this year was stressed over dinner because my dad decided to invite two other people to dinner without talking to my mom about it first so there was like maybe 12 people at the house. It was good to visit with the family though. It's a time of getting together and being around family and just experiencing the holidays.

December

Well December is here and that means the best Holiday of the year is here....CHRISTMAS!!!!!! I love Christmas i think now my favorite Holidays are Halloween and Christmas. There's been snow, Christmas commercials on TV, Christmas music on the radio, lights on houses, decorations in the windows, doors, lawns and stores. I love the atmosphere that December brings.

The Best Times of Thanksgiving

The best times of Thanksgiving is the growing excitement and joyful emotions that Thanksgiving brings, the intense appetite that leads up to the Thanksgiving dinner, and the enjoyable company of the family. Being around the Holidays with the family is the best. I know some kids would disagree but they're views don't matter on this blog cuz it's MY blog!!!! There's just an atmostphere of family when November and December come around. October is a good one but that's more for like friends and such to go and have small parties and all that but November and December are 100% family months to me.

Thanksgiving Food

My favorite Thanksgiving food: mashed potatoes and turkey juice gravy, turkey, egg nog and rolls. Thanksgiving dinner is always worth-while. I love the smell in the morning when mom starts cooking the turkey and gravy. This year on Thanksgiving morning i was sleeping in the living room because Nate was here for the Holiday. It had to have been around 5ish or so and i heard Mom in the kitchen starting her journey to making the perfect Thanksgiving dinner. A few hours later i woke to the aroma of spices, meat, olives, gravy and the heat from the oven was also included. This post is about the food so i'm gonna skip to DINNER!!!!! O my gosh, my first reach was for the mashed potatoes and gravy. I LOVE mashed potatoes and gravy. My mom makes the best gravy and this year it was from the "neck" part of the turkey and it's juices ^-^ (I've learned this sign from Josh F.) Anyways, dinner was great, everyone was there eating together and passing food around. I only had one plate and was FULL!!!!! A few hours later i had some more but by the time Friday came i was STILL stuffed from Thanksgiving dinner. D-E-L-I-CIOUS!!!!!!

November: Thanksgiving Time

November is here and it's the month of being thankful....well everyday should be like this but for some reason everyone is more thankful around this month. It's weird. Anyways this is my Holiday blog so yeah that's why it's gonna be changing :) Let's see what November has in store of us. November is also the time for Fall and all the pretty browns, golds, falling leaves, autumn air, turkeys, candles, colder weather, the "memories" atmosphere of the days of HP figurines and so forth.

Well today is Halloween :) I'm gonnabe preparing dinner so I'll be getting off of work at 5 and then go straight home to start it. Sam's mom is here so it'll be: mom, dad, Nate, Leah, Courts, Sam, Sam's mom and Lilly. I don't think Lilly will be eating much ;) Hahaha. I like Halloween. I'm not gonna be dressing up though I'm just gonna wear my "Bad to the Bone" shirt i got last year :) It's official I've watched an episode of "Goosebumps" everyday this month, somedays i had to do catch up episodes but for the most part I've watched them. I'm gonna bring some hot chocolate today for work today in case anyone wants some. Dad fixed my car so i'm able to drive it today and if we need ingredients then I'll be able to go down to King's and get them. It's exciting because next month is Thanksgiving so I'm gonna change this blog into a Thanksgiving blog. I love the Holidays!!!!! We'll see how toniht goes with dinner :) I'm excited!!!! Those chicken salsa barritoes i've been making would be interesting: they could be called "Ooey Gooey Pads" :D LOL!!!! Just kidding that's gross but it'd be fun.........The other day we actually watched a few episodes of "The Monsters" and "The Addam's Family". They are black and white but very good shows back in the day. They have that atmosphere of Halloween about them and i like that :) :) I've been listening to Halloween songs too and I got some audio-cds from work a "Freidy Cat" one and a "Zombies Don't Play Soccer". They are interesting :) but fun :D

Haunted House & Other Stuff

Friday me, K, Josh and Josh F are gonna try and go to a Haunted House. Depending on the weather and whether or not we can get a ride is our biggest obsticle for now. I've been wearing more comfy clothes like when me and K went to see "The Stepfather" i wore my grey pants, a t-shirt and my brown boots :D It was kinda outta place but i was comfy and i didn't really care. It was late at night too and we were the only ones in the theater so i wasn't too worried. We did NOT kiss, just to clear that up!!! He did put his arm around me but i kinda kept my distance because it was nice but i was NOT and still am NOT ready!!!! It's nice to have that affection though....Whao!!!! Sorry I'm off subject. I really wanna go to a Haunted House but I'm not gonna get my hopes up too high. I like October, November and December because those are the months that have Holidays: my favorites are Halloween and Christmas!!!! I love the feeling and atmosphere they give off.

Goosebumps Cont.

Well I'm beginning to watch Goosebumps on my own if Leah doesn't want to. It's not as fun but i said i'd watch an episode everyday so that's what i'm gonna do. I'm also getting very irritated with Leah because she always wants us to watch them in her room which is upstairs. I have to take my charger all the way up there then afterwards take it all the way downstairs. I didn't mind it at first but i'm beginning to not care anymore. If she doesn't wanna come downstairs and watch it then she doesn't have to but i'm gonna. She won't help me taking it downstairs. She's impatient if we don't watch it on "her time". She tells me to pick out an episode but the ones i've wanted to watch, she doesn't wanna watch. There are some that we haven't seen so i try to keep it to those ones but on my own time i've been watching the older ones we've already seen cuz she doesn't like to watch those.

Costumes, Dinner, Pumpkins and Pages

Well Me and Jen are gonna be Mulder and Scully this year. Mom is gonna wear a badge of Skinner and Leah is gonna wear a badge of an alien but i don't think she'll be dressing up as one cuz she's.....well.....her. I've got the badges just about done i just need to laminate them but i'm thinking of doing it on Halloween Day cuz the sticky stuff mom has isn't very good for a long time so we'll see what happens with that. As for dinner, i need to make up a menu and talk to mom about what i can do about it. I also need to call work and ask them to take me off for Halloween: Eliches, dinner and "party". So i'll talk to Dede or Sam about that tomorrow when i work. I would really like to go to a Pumpkin patch to pick out a Pumpkin to carve for Halloween too. I invited Jen but now i just gotta look for a place. We saw one by "Are 41" on Saturday but we didn't have time to check it out plus it was PACKED!!!! I've been doing Halloween coloring pages which has been a lot of fun. I'm gonna print out some more pages today and color them. I was thinking of putting them on the wall in my room just to decorate it up a lil bit, tape them though cuz mom will have a fit if i put holes in the walls!!!!

Excitement

I think Halloween and Christmas are my favorite Holidays. Halloween because it's fun to dress up, candy, music and fun. It's interesting because i'm not into the freaky, very horric stuff. I'm more for the kid-like stuff cuz it's cute, fun and its more welcoming then the freaky stuff but it still has the that Halloween atmosphere to it all. It's annoying cuz there's a lot of cute costumes but a lot of them are skanky and revealing. Me and Jen are gonna be Mulder and Scully for this Halloween, we've planned this for like years but we have't really actually done it. I have ideas for everything but my hair. Jen says i should just pull it back but it'd be fun to do a wig or something else :) I'm working Halloween and I'm gonna see if I could get off at 5. I was thinking of asking if i could dress up as Wendy but I'm sure that won't happen unless i hand out balloons or something like that. It'd be fun none the less! I'm thinking of just using this blog for Holidays. So when Thanksgiving comes i'll change it to Thanksgiving and so on.

Goosebumps

Well me and Leah have started watching "Goosebumps" this weekend: "How I Got My Shrunken Head" and "Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes" were the first ones we've seen. We watched "Piano Lessons Can Be a Murder" too. I'm gonna watch "Be Careful What You Wish For."
